I generally use Allianz which provides a quote number. Once a client approves this, Allianz issues a policy number. While I can appreciate that the payment approval is still visible in the backend, it would be nice if I could either update the quote number to the actual policy number without the payment authorization disappearing. Alternatively, and probably the better option is to create another field that allows you to place the actual policy number without the payment authorization disappearing.

Insurance Quote # change to Policy # after purchase

Once purchased it's no longer a quote but a policy #

Agree. We actually should have separate spaces to upload a quote, the general policy (before purchase) so the customer can read the full policy (and acknowledge that they've read it), and the actual policy (after purchase) which includes a summary of their coverage. With Allianz, they ask for acknowledgement that the customer has agreed to the Purchase Terms and Disclosures (which I'd like to be able to upload into Tern also) as well as the Plan, when we make the purchase. It would be great to have these within the Insurance tab so all is documented.

Don't delete insurance selection when I upload their policy document

We aren't able to upload a client's specific insurance policy document until AFTER they authorize payment & we purchase their insurance. However, when I add their insurance policy number to the "Quote Number" box and change "Policy" from a general overview to be their actual insurance plan, Tern deletes the client's authorization & insurance selection. Now when they log in it looks like they still have to select insurance. This should be fixed so that we can link/attach a client's individual policy document to the insurance section after they authorize payment and make a selection. Really, "quote" should also change to "policy number", too.

When I offer different insurance options, I put in the policy number which allows me to upload the policy and cost. At that point they can actually go in and click the different policies to see which one works best for them, and at that point let me know which on they want. They actually have the option of going in and purchasing it themselves. Once they choose, I just delete the other option and update payment in their itinerary.

Julep green Haddock some insurance vendors do not give that policy number until it's paid for.

Julep green Haddock Allianz does not give a policy number or individualized policy document until the plan is purchased. I appreciate your suggestion though, Julep!

Tender Lemming Ah, yes, I remember now that I had to send a separate email from Allianz with the proposal to my client and once they decided to go with Allianz, I sent an authorization to them and purchased it on their site.

Insurance - Confirmation or Policy Number field

Can we please have a confirmation number field (or better yet policy number) similar to what is available on the pricing tab for other components? Currently it only records the quote number which in most cases is not the same number when the policy is actually issued. Therefore, on the commission tab it shows the quote number and can make it hard to match it up to what the insurance company provides when they pay commission.

Same with Travelex. Separate Quote # & Policy #. Then, have it show up in the back office for commission as the Policy #.

Yes, And to be able to upload documents to that section for the insurance receipt and other documents.

Nectarine Condor Maybe they've updated it since your comment, but I was able to upload their confirmation number on the Insurance screen. it's at the top of the page now.

Travel Insured does this too. Separate quote and policy number.
