Create an auto save feature; remove Publish for each time you make a change

Have the itinerary auto save when you make a change; this Publish feature is cumbersome. Anytime I make even a slight change I have to republish. Just auto save so you don't have to do another step by Publish and then close out (I don't send update notices to clients, that's very annoying to get all those notifications unless you remember to close)

Is there a way to down-vote this? haha - I would NOT like things to auto-publish, many times there are items that are 'work-in-progress'. I would compromise for an additional button that is "Publish Only" versus the current "Publish" which also pops up the window to email - like others have said in the comments.

Xenon grey Cheetahthat's not what I was asking for. I want to have the changes automatically saved (or have a save button on that particualr page) and not have to hit publish. That's just a drain to have to close out if you don't want it auto sent, Hope that helps clarify

I do not want changes I am making to be "live" without me manually publishing them, for many reasons. One reason is I will create items in an itinerary as placeholders and enter in the minimal information needed so that I do not forget to add them in altogether. It would not be a good look for a client to see a partially entered item and think I missed a bunch of pertinant details.

Super Parrotfish Agreed. I don't want a change to be published before I have a chance to give it the once over after all my changes are complete. The last thing you want is to mistakenly put in the wrong dates and have a client screenshot it or see it and you get a panic call before you had a chance to change it.

Super Parrotfish Agreed! My assistant adds things and I review before I publish them to the client. Sometimes that timeline could be a week or so before I'm ready to send it out to the client. I definitely don't want anything to auto publish.

It does autosave already, it just doesn't show up on the customer side unless you click on the publish button, which I like the way it is. If you don't want to bother your customers with an email for a minor change, you can publish it and not send the email.

I'm fine with publishing once I have completed all changes. I just wish it didn't pop up for an email to be created each time and you have to exit out.

You don’t have to email your client each time, just push publish and close out the email that pops up. the reason for not having autosave is so you can work on things and clients can’t see the changes until they are ready to do so. That was the number 1 thing that I hated with the last company I was with, my clients were able to see things before I had it updated and personalized for them.
