Change approval flow to have trip approved first then insurance

I would like the client to go through approving the trip costs first, then insurance, and then entering payment. I don’t like that insurance comes up first. It’s also confusing for clients to see the “Select Insurance” message when we are instructing them to approve the entire trip.

Flow should be: Itinerary Approval, Room options, excursions options with (skip option), other upsells, then go to insurance selection (ie..yes or no, vendor & a way to modify the cost of the policy). AI would be exceptional here to review whether the insurance policy, provided by the vendor, meets the requirements for all NRDs made on the trip. Then go to "CART" and approve everything in one go. Clearly state what integrations will be paid now and what items the Advisor has 30 days to pay. If Items are added later, repeat the process.

Same with shorex selection, especially when they're comp such as a river cruise. It doesn't affect the price. I don't want any hang-ups when trying to collect $.

Right now I am having to go back and add in the insurance after they pay deposit to avoid confusion

Absolutely agree. They may select from option blocks that could change the insurance.

YES.... as the total changes, don't want to add insurance too early. Also need to be able to adjust totals as some items may not require insurance.

I had a situation just last week where a client declined coverage, and then authorized payment of the trip deposit, which was subsequently processed, then she disputed the price of the trip. Had I not been distracted by several other bookings, I would have noticed that she had not approved the trip - it has been happening more often than I realized. Although the price is right there in front of the client when the quote is sent out it would be terrific to have the trip approval come first before they can select or decline insurance, and before they can make a payment authorization.

Yes! They need to first approve the costs that they're going to pay for the trip before deciding if they want insurance and what that insurance is covering. I end up adding insurance options aftet they authorize payment so they don't get confused by this.
