When inputting the birthdates for travelers, it would be nice not to have to enter the dates as manually as we do with the dashes between numbers. Many systems I use auto jump to the next input and I don't need to manually put the dash. It's a small thing, just an annoyance.

yes most companies I work with don't do hyphens the do / or no symbol but they auto-populate if needed. This seems like an easy fix

Yes, please! I was just saying this to myself earlier today when I was typing a birthdate. It's so frustrating when date (and phone number) fields don't auto-format. We should only need to type the numbers.
I agree with Taupe Cricket, too. It would be much less confusing if three letters of the month were required. Better yet, we type the numbers 013126, and it magically turns into 31-JAN-2026!

Even better to make it easier internationally as many countries do not use the US mm-dd-yyyy standard would be to make it so the number month automatically becomes the written month (APR-26-2026/mmm-dd-yyy). This way there is no confusion for the rest of the world including agents, suppliers and clients. Or a way to customize the date on our side as the global travel standard is actually dd-mmm-yyyy.
